Several questions have recently been asked about what courses count towards obtaining at least two (2) Suicide Prevention CEUs as stated in NRS 641D.360(3)(b).
It is within the purview of each LBA and LaBA to identify evidence-based suicide prevention and awareness continuing education credits to complete. The CEUs are not required to be completed from an ACE Provider.
Several questions have recently been asked about what courses count towards obtaining at least six (6) Cultural Competency and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion CEUs as stated in NRS 641D.360(3)(c). Specifically, Nevada Revised Statute identifies what the CEU course(s) need to address.
“Must address persons of different cultural backgrounds, including, without limitation:
- Persons from various gender, racial and ethnic backgrounds;
- Persons from various religious backgrounds;
- Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning persons;
- Children and senior citizens;
- Veterans;
- Persons with a mental illness;
- Persons with an intellectual disability, developmental disability or physical disability; and
- Persons who are part of any other population that a behavior analyst may need to better understand, as determined by the Board.”

Submission of fingerprints via LiveScan electronic submission is quite common and available in most communities through fingerprinting establishments and law enforcement agencies. But, in some smaller communities, LiveScan may not be available. It is advisable to contact the vender before you go to confirm that they offer LiveScan submission. You can also contact the Nevada Department of Public Safety at 775-684-6262 with assistance in finding a LiveScan provider near you.
The specific fees are detailed for each license or registration in the application. The RBT registration fee of $70 is due when your application is initiated. LBA/LaBA applications require a $100 application fee at the time the application is initiated. An additional exam fee and pro-rated license fees will be due as the application process proceeds. You will be prompted when those fees are to be paid. All fees can be paid online.
